Singer-songwriter Frankie Wesson started writing songs and performing in her hometown of Abergavenny at the age of 16. A self-taught musician, her cinematic original songs are drawn from personal experiences in life, love and growing up.
Raised on artists like Stevie Nicks, Alanis Morisette and Eva Cassidy she also takes inspiration from a mix of contemporary artists such as Deaf Havana, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, and Gabrielle Aplin. Coming together to create a pop/rock/folk feel, of memories to music straight from the pages of her diary.
A talented songwriter with songs featured on BBC Radio 6 and BBC Introducing as well as Spotify’s ‘Chilled Pop Hits’ and ‘New Music Friday’ playlists.
Frankie has been compared to the likes of KT Tunstall and Amy Macdonald most recently in a review by Swansea’s Soundboard magazine, where her album ‘Still Got Time’ was described as “timeless; appealing to fans of Fleetwood Mac and Paramore alike without compromising or diluting any of the style that makes Wesson’s music her own…an album that is more than the sum of its parts.”
